Create your own summer safari with Meyamo’s fun and easy paper fold-up animals. Just print, decorate and cut these cute animal patterns. Then, take the animals outside to create a wild safari in your own backyard!
Step 1: Print the animal templates on white or colored paper (cardstock works best).
Step 2: Let your kids get creative and decorate the animals with fun colors and prints.
* They can also use recycled bits of scrap paper or gift-wrap to create a mix and match collage.
Step 3: Cut out each animal by following along the dotted lines.
Step 4: Fold the animals in half following the solid fold line. Follow the instructions below to give each jungle animal its special finishing touches.
Toucan: Cut along the outline of each wing and fold them away from the body. You can also glue both sides of the beak together.
Elephant: Insert the elephant’s ears on the slot on the elephant’s head. You can also glue both sides of the trunk together.
Crocodile: You can open the big crocodile’s mouth with a pair of jigsaw edger scissors to make the teeth. You can also glue both sides of the snout together.
Monkey: This wild monkey can hang from almost anywhere, fold and unfold it and practice hanging it from the arms and tail.
Zebra: Cut the ears outline and fold them away from the body. You can also glue both sides of the mouth together.
Giraffe: Cut the dashed lines on the back of the neck to create the giraffe’s hair. You can also glue both sides of the tail together.
With your safari animals cut out and decorated, now it is time to play! Take the animals outside to create a wild safari in your own backyard!
